I am a guitar teacher from Australia. My method is based around understanding your instrument and developing a unique style and tone.
I recently started a composition/recording project called the Daily Melodies to help keep my creativity flowing.
I compose and record a piece after breakfast everyday and upload it to my website. It's free for anyone to listen to and download.
I restricted myself to only using an acoustic guitar to avoid being bogged down in finding tones, and stretching the creative process out beyond the real buzz of the initial spark.
