BX8 speakers sound great because of great components and integrated design. 1" natural silk high-frequency drivers with electronic time alignment and ferrofluid cooling, 8" low-frequency drivers with mineral-filled polypropylene cones and damped rubber surrounds. 130W of biamped power with integral crossover network. Tooled rear sub-frequency ports reduce turbulence and optimize driver excursion. An acoustic space control section allows you to optimize their performance for your room. Magnetically shielded for desktop use.

Comments: What a difference studio monitors can make compared to mixing with regular speakers. With these M-Audio BX8 Studiophile Powered Monitors, you will be able to tell every single detail that you need to hear when mixing or mastering. The acoustic space control section is very cool to have when adjusting the settings to what you need in whatever space situation you have. With 130 watts of power, you will have enough volume to play music all through your house. The only complaints I have is that the hi, mid, and low settings on back of monitors can sometimes be hard to tell the difference when changing these settings. Nothing major at all, just takes some tweaking. I have heard studio monitors that cost over $1000 a pair and don’t sound as crisp and full as these BX8’s. Sounds absolutely wonderful when combined with the M-Audio SBX Subwoofer.
