iZotope Ozone is a mastering system in the form of a DirectX plug-in. It gives your mixes that radio-ready sound faster than you can say "I'd like to thank the Academy." It's a system of top quality 64-bit DSP algorithms, complemented with enhanced visual meter displays, and integrated in an interface that makes it incredibly easy to get incredibly good masters.

Comments: don't own it yet. but i dream of it. all i can say is, if you want to sound like a pro even BEFORE you know what you're doing, buy this app! download the instruction manual from the ozone website to get the full feel of what it can do. you'll also learn quite a bit if you're new to mastering.

Comments: what an amazing app. It truly does bring everything to life and I'm getting the hang of it straight away, it's real easy to control.
The stereo imaging is great and the harmonic exciter brings it all together just fine.
I'm even persuaded to leave my Waves native collection aside for now, as this is so much fun!
The skies the limit.
Makes mastering actually quite fun!!

Comments: Possibly the only mastering plugin that you need. The complete package contains smooth EQ, a very transparent multi-band compressor, Stereo enhancer, Mastering Reberb and Multiband harmonic exciter. It also comes complete with a very detailed guide which introduces the concept of mastering and provides tips on how to deal with trickier mixes.

Well worth the purchase.

Comments: This is one heck of an awesome plug-in! Sweet interface, great support, and great sound! If you need to master your own stuff, you can't go wrong here. I've used other programs like T-Racks, and Ozone is much more versitile, powerful, and cheap! Only $200!

Comments: Increadable "bang for the buck" plug in. Tons of presets. Definately created with thoughtfull consideration of the premastering process. Not quiet the quality of ultra high end premaster plugs, but very close, especialy in consideration of the cost. Downside; As a Direct X plug it uses a lot of processor resource and responds quite slowly to keyboard and mouse input. The best way for me to describe resluts is per the response of a 17 piece swing band that I recorded. The mix was received with "Very nice job". After premaster with Ozone the response was "Can we buy fifty".
