Behringer has upgraded their already-legendary modeler by adding a host of new features and capabilities. You now get 32 amp models as well as the original 15 speaker simulations which can be selected independently of the amp models. A 24-bit, studio-quality stereo effects unit offers an array of useful algorithms including chorus, tremolo, compression, noise gate, delay, and much more.

Comments: Although the sampling rate is 32KHZ, the output rate is 64/128KHZ. This unit is extremely nice sounding for a beginner setup. I couldnt ask for more from my $99.00

Comments: I bought this unit not knowing what to expect but I'd read hundreds of great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try - But I've now got Amplitube which kinda leaves the VAMP standing a bit.

In short, its great for those with cheaper or very rubbish amps. Fire on the clean channel, use the VAMP and its 100 times better and close to greatness. I'd also say it sounds better when youre playing lead than rythm as this is where it seems to muddy itself a little.

Great purchase, good/great sounds, great effects but it's just not quite there for the full, fat sounds you get from the Marshall's etc.

Cheers...

Coco.

For the money, you CANNOT complain! Its great - tones are good and I really like the Modern Hi-Gain Amp.

I must say though. After using this unit for a while I agree with some of the other comments made here on the thin sounds. I used an Epi Les Paul and a Fender Strat. The sounds are very good - I will not agrue. However, it does miss some of the oompph my Marshall provides.

I know its a modeller etc and its GREAT value for money (especially when you consider the price and the onboard FX and AMPs etc).

Comments: i use this amp modeler for referencing but i would not recommend it for tracking due to the fact that it is not cd quality. i believe the sample rate is only 32khz falling short of the 44khz of cd quality. having used it on my songs i have noticed that the quality of the distortion seems a little trashy and does not sound expensive at all. expensive meaning when you can hear the top sizzle of the amp and the low driving power that micing loud amps bring. you dont get that low end PICK UP that the real thing gives you. so in conclusion the v-amp sounds a little thin compared to real micing

Comments: good little modeler for the price , so if money's an issue you might wanna check it out , there are better ones but it's a great buy for the prace and what all comes with it .
