Comments: I vote thumbs up with one prerequisite. If you are looking for something free. Most free apps that I know of limit the user at 4 audio tracks, this one limits at eight.

I am not a huge ProTools fan, and this program as a whole is no exception, HOWEVER, free is always good...as long as you are running on the legacy OS's that the program supports. Digi has not kept this app current, and I believe it still only works up to Windows 98 and not beyond...which would explain my low quality rating.

Comments: This could be great app. If DigiDesign didnt drop support for it. I realize it is a freeware app, but they could at least keep it current if they want to cater to more then just the elite of the recording industry. It is very limited in its application, and does not have the full functionality it could. I guess they want you to just ahve a taste, and then go buy the big rig. Pro-Tools is a great app, if they would just develop a little more usefull stuff for windows, that wasnt so dpendant on a small grouping of hardware interfaces.

Comments: Digidesign has pretty much left this product to hang in the wind. It is now so outdated that it doesn't even give an accurate picture of what ProTools is really like anymore. It's hard to have high expectations for a FREE product, but this one will frustrate you more than anything else!
