May 09, 2003 - some new stuffs

So, over the past couple week or so since I've quit my job, I have got myself a mic stand, some cables, and I finally broke down and set up my mixer with the new mics. I'm still recording into the SBLive, but now it's just for experimental sake. I've written some new verses and am working with some other producers and mcs and the collaborative project is much different than the solo thing. I guess it just takes some getting used to. But after my last session I broke the piece that holds the Neumann to the mic stand. It seems I screwed it in too tight and then was tried to use brute strength to unscrew it. Looks like a case for super glue. Last but not least, me and my partner are setting up a little underground event that we are going to host/MC. We'll probably perform 3 or 4 songs as well, but we need to get on our horse and start doing some writing. It should be fun though...

Oh yeah, despite my taste for it, no one else seems to like my singing. That sucks...

Apr 16, 2003 - taxes, grrrr!

So I just had to pay out $1,500 in taxes yesterday. Ain't that about a biyii. Wonder if I can still afford the DAW I was planning on building. Eff it, I think I can.

Apr 14, 2003 - Time to flip the world

Yeah, so I'm quitting my quality, full time job at the end of the month, in order to pursue music, and music business as a career. Getting a group together, starting a label/production(events)/management company. And if all goes well, perhaps running a music venue/club by the end of September. So now you've heard all the blah blah blah, that just gives me a little more motivation to make it happen. Good god, this is a scary step.
