Jun 09, 2007 - Up With Fascism

What a short, strange trip it’s been.

John Frazer and Gary Allen are two sons, born of the same mother. My wife Tambra is that person; the two bio-fathers are elsewhere.

We had known for a while that Gary was learning to play guitar. During the time that he spent with his father, and his two years in Job Corps, his skills developed rapidly. On his visits during furloughs from Job Corps, Gary would show us a thing or two on the box that he’d learned since his last visit.

Tambra and I were hard to impress though, because we had long and solid professional musical backgrounds. In Gary’s eyes, we were a challenge. He rose to it.

John, the elder son, between his readings of Marx, Lenin, and Solzhenitsyn, felt compelled to write some poems. The two brothers met to discuss merging their music and words.

"Up With Fascism" is the result of this collaboration.
