New Forum Feature - Recommending Threads
Mar 10, 2006 - Contributed By dB Masters
Another new feature in my recent increase in productivity...

Yesterday I added a new feature to the message forum hoping it might help bring attention to the quality discussions taking place.

members can now leave a recommendation of threads they have found particularily helpful, interesting or whatever reason. This will hopefully help in two ways. One being it will help people browsing the forums see what threads might be the best in the place, especially cool for newbies to HRC to check out what HRC is all about. Secondly, the top few are going to go in to the monthly HRC newsletter as the meber recommended threads, so it will be easy to share out best content with everyone.

The only limitations I have imposed on this feature is that one cannot recommend their own thread, otherwise it would become a feature that people would use like the ol' all caps posting, just trying to draw attention to their thread. The other is limiting each thread to one vote per member...which I think everybody will agree is acceptable.

I really hope people use this new feature, I think if used, it could be very helpful to people.
