The First Week in the New House
Apr 12, 2002 - Contributed By dB Masters
I am pretty glad we moved, I dunno about you, but everyone seems happy.

Well, after the first week online I am very relieved to see all the faithful returning to the community. Honestly, I did not know what to expect after we moved, after I had announced at the old site that the community would go away, then with the huge outpouring of emotion from people asking why and offering to help I just couldn't bring myself to shut it down.

However, I did not announce that publicly, but, everyone seems to be back, or a good chunk of people, in the first week we cleared well over 200 messages at the forum and got all the news and tips moved that we wanted to, I was honestly hoping for more help from people moving the links, but well, if they don't get moved they don't get moved, whatever. Doesn't bother me much, I just though all of you maybe had some favorite links you wanted to keep available for others.

As it turns out, we will again, very shortly, be moving servers, this time, inside the same data center, so there will be no loss of data. I am doing this because dB Masters will be co-locating server space and offering web hosting packages as another service, I will post a note on the forum to not post messages for about 48 hours when this happens, so nobody will loss anything while the DNS is yet again propagating to the new co-located server space.

As always, thank you very much for sticking with me through this whole move, I am glad we are all back rapping music and having fun, I don't know what I would have done with myself if we actually would have shut this place down...
