I have to spread the word about the coolest little songwriting tool ever developed for the computer-based songwriter, or any songwriter for that matter!

Virtual Studio Systems, friends of HRC, have just released a 30 day trial version of their famed application for songwriters, Lyricist.

Now in version 2.1, Lyricist is a complete songwriters toolbox in one program. It has a lyric notepad, and rhyming dictionary, a chard charting program and more. Now with version 2.1 they just added the Chord Wizard, you can use this groovy little tool to find the chord you are using...you say "huh?", well, how many times have you been strumming along and found something really neat sounding, then looked at your fingers and said to yourself "self, what the hell chord is THAT?" well the Chord Wizard will tell you, just plug in your finger positions and it will tell you what it is.

I have been using Lyricist a lot, and for under $40 it is an indispensable tool, I will never go back to writing songs on note pads, bar napkins or paper towels...Lyricist does it all...
