Taking advantage of the downtime

Nice weather brings slow traffic...which ain't all bad...

I dunno how many of your have noticed, but the traffic to HRC has slowed down since the weather has gotten nicer, which is cool, that allows us staff members to have more time off too. And, as you also all know, as hard as I try to stay away from the day-to-day stuff that keeps HRC online, I can't. As a result, new stuff keeps getting added.

Here is the latest in developments at HRC:

Industry News: This feature is open to ALL members of HRC, if you see interesting news related to the music industry, post a link to it, this will help us all stay better informed of new laws being passed or challenged, new software or gear releases or any other information the recording musician may find useful.

Chatroom: After being requested several times over the years I decided we have enough of a user base to maybe support one. The thing that always held me up was that I hate adding great features that never get used, then it looks like the site is little and old. I would rather have fewer features that are always used and current. I am pleasantly surprised with thr result. Obviously the chatroom is not ALWAYS in use, but I have personally already been in on a half-dozen or so great chats with members. This chatroom is only open to registered members of HRC.

WebMail: I added a link that only logged in members see that gives you an option to have a web-based email address @homerecordingconnection.com. I am not sure how many people will use it, but I know I will for various things like contest entries and things like that. I know there are tons of places to get free email, but I figured I would give all you members the option to have one here if it seems convenient.
