Trying my hand at acoustics...

From [ins]anarchist on Jan 30, 2007

This weekend, we started in on trying to build some panels for the walls to hopefully deaden the room's icky reverb a bit. We're using 2x2's as a frame, with R-21 insulation squeezed down by chicken wire and wooden crossbeam things. I'm using black burlap to cover them. They're pretty damned ugly and kind of lumpy, but I'm hoping they'll still work! I'm also building semi-mobile walls out of plywood and 2x4's with insulation in the middle and some sort of acoustic foam on the outsides. This way I can make a makeshift control/iso-booth around cabs or around the console.

There are probably better ways to do this, but I can't think of any cheaper! If anyone has any advice or anything, be sure to message me :)
