Going to be a tough thanksgiving...
From dB Masters on Nov 20, 2006
I officially enter the holiday season with mixed emotions. As many of you know, I lost my mother over the summer, on her 60th birthday. Dad is too young to be alone, but is doing well. They had just passed their 40th wedding anniversary.
I simply don't feel a whole lot to be thankful for, even though I know there is a lot more to life, and I have been very blessed in recent years, this is a tough one. My wife and I are hosting thanksgiving dinner this year for my dad, my sister and her husband and possibly a friend that I don't think has family close by. My niece unfortunately will be at her dads house for thanksgiving, which sucks cuz she never wants to be there, he is a jerk and pretty much views her as a way to get back at my sister or as his personal live-in babysitter while she is there. Horrible male role-model and general despicable human being.
I dunno man, like I said, mixed emotions on the whole holiday.
