howdy all
im getting a fizzle sound in this song im doing atm.
i dont know how to describe it really, it does kinda sound like a cd on fast fwd. but more like an effect that's in hal-ion one to be honest. that cant be it though, im not even using it.
this sound plays straight over the top of the song in spots like it is actually a keyboard effect or something.
my performance meter is over the halfway mark.
could it be dikn out?
is this a ram issue?

Sep 29, 2008 07:35 am I think it would have to be heard, to better troubleshoot.
I'd bet first: interference.

Sep 29, 2008 09:10 am Have you plenty of room in the hard drive you're working out of ? Have you defragged that drive lately ?...
Something that cleared up a hideous crackle that I had to contend with a while back .

Sep 29, 2008 11:37 am Could very well be a failing chord... hard to say, really . Can we get a sample of it ?

failing chord
I suspect it's the F minor. Always gives me problems.

Sep 29, 2008 01:12 pm Yup F minor does it every time. ;)
Seriously though you really need to post a sample of the noise.

Sep 29, 2008 06:57 pm Say, has anyone asked for a sample with the noize on it? That might help.

Sep 29, 2008 07:15 pm so what you're all saying is maybe the guy should just chuck us a sample already?
geez ya think he'd get it by now.
well, ok, will do it now. sorry to disappoint, pretty sure it's not an F minor. ha ha ha

Sep 30, 2008 08:14 pm well, i couldnt get it to do it again ( it was doing it consantly before), and the more i try and mix this certain song, the more i "realized" that it was never going to blend the way i wanted it. "realize-d"
that's right, past tense.
i deleted it.
I did a few things guitar wise when i tracked it that werent good. Im more learne-d now.
i have heard this term before...
"you can only polish a **** so much".
in this case i polished the finish right off it days ago.
i appreciate the interest though, thanks alot. Im thinking it was a possible performance issue. the performance meter in cubase was pushing towards the 3/4 mark at times. maybe a ram upgrade is on the cards.
