Jun 11, 2006 04:25 pm What exactly are you recording? Also, are you using more then one microphone? That is the normal cause of phasing issues, unless you have a pluggin active during recording.
Jun 11, 2006 08:30 pm Its just with one microphone, recording into pro tools, and its not a specific mic that does it cuz i tried it with many.

Jun 11, 2006 09:03 pm It has to be something else then that is causing it. Phasing from a mic is due to using two mics that are not positioned properly and will cause one mic to cancel the others sound out. If you are hearing it only while recording it is something in the way you are running playback and record together.
Jun 12, 2006 11:01 am i bet you're monitoring the track while it's beein' recorded....make sure your track that you are recording isn't resending the signal back out of your monitors (often called input echo)....what's happening is while you're recording, you're hearing your accual signal (direct to monitor) AND your signal that is being recorded is sent out to the monitors right after it's recorded (slight delay which causes the 'outta phase' sound.
